Dropping the Veil
The Vampire origin is a mystery. Nearly all of the myth and legend surrounding them is false. The only constant truth is they require the fresh blood of a human to survive. Vampires are reborn from humans. Vampires are not immortal but age at a significantly reduce rate. They appear human except for the pronounced fangs. While all Vampires have Blood Dependency and Mesmerize, other powers vary greatly between Vampires. Such powers include physical boosts, such as speed and strength, and mental abilities, such as telekinesis and telepathy.
Blood Dependency (stunt)
As long as a Vampire is well fed, he automatically succeeds in the recovery action for his physical consequences, and the time to recover from physical consequences is as if they were one level lower in severity. Once per scene he may reduce the level of a new physical consequence by one step. A Vampire that goes without feeding for a moderate amount of time will suffer the opposite of the above. If a Vampire goes a significant amount of time without feeding he’ll rapidly age until he reaches his true age. Feeding again will revert the penalties.
A Vampire can apply magical effect to the Overcome or Create an Advantage actions of Deceive, Provoke, or Rapport on someone with nothing more than direct line of sight. This is the minimum requirement, and is better with locked eyesight, direct physical contact, and best when actively feeding. A Vampire can also attempt a contest of Will to alter the recent memories of a person. Altering memories requires the target to be in direct physical contact with the Vampire and be in a submissive state.
